Morning all,

I've not been on the site for a while and this morning decided to have a browse of the classified section...is it just me or is it now the most annoying page in the history of the internet??, the adverts are a joke, pages keep shifting, scrolling is hugely delayed and it makes it just so frustrating to use.

I have literally no point to make or questions to ask...i just wanted to moan really.

Any site that uses adverts that open and close and thus move your page around constantly I just write off.

No longer use the classifieds on here due to that.

As above, I no longer bother to use it, can't stand the way it is set out and how it "works".

Adblock Plus? PH is impossible to browse without it on my 8 year old laptop.

It's a mess, I stopped using it a while back, maybe make an autotrader style app for the used section? And make the actual online section much simpler, gumtree is a better example

Yes, and true to a lesser degree across the whole PH site.

Although they do need these ads for revenue, it is a royal pain in the arse.

I don't really bother with the classifieds any more as a consequence - sorry, PH!

Haven't browsed the classifieds in months, don't even bother looking when someone links a car on there anymore either.

Try it on a Mac. I'm using a Core i5 Air and whilst the forums are fine the ads pages are a total utter farce - practically unusable.

We can debate whether that's because of Flash on OS X but if I was Haymarket I would be more interested in how I could get people looking at my site.

Couldn't agree more. Looking for another car & thought PH classifieds are usually good.

Nope.

Rubbish.

They weren't broken so why where they fixed?

Now I'm thinking about it, I haven't clicked the "view original ad here" link on SOTW or Spotted : XYZ Car since the classifieds changed format.

Painful to look at and use.

Question for the Pistonheads team them.....Do you have any plans to actually make the classifieds usable?? or is the advertising pound note to remain the priority over customer usability??

As i recall from various work presentations pistonheads was often used as an example of a highly successful page with excellent traffic along side the likes of rightmove....and now, well, it's crap that I (and clearly others) sinply can't be arsed to bother with it anymore.

I've just bought another car on Monday bounce

I was looking for a specific model. Spent a few seconds trying out the classifieds then went straight to the Trader and bought one from there instead. Why does it automatically select ALL the vehicles from one manufacturer by default? Who honestly tries to buy a car with all models selected?? Madness rolleyes

I only have one PH bookmark now and it points straight to gassing. That way you go straight to the forums and miss all the front page dross. Now that Chris Harris has left there is nothing redeeming about PH for me anymore.

PH has become News of the World. Bring back "Ted" frown

It's interesting, I'm selling a PH kind of car now and also did so previously 3 years ago. I advertised on PH and AT last time as well as this.

I've only had phishing emails from my PH ad, and several phonecalls from my AT one, last time - I got good contacts from both. I've also given up browsing the cars for sale, used to enjoy it - but has become very difficult to use without being assaulted by adverts.

I hope they find the right balance, because it's not making it easy right now.

I wonder what the individual advert traffic is looking like these days?

Also, does no-one at PH Towers have any professional pride with regards to the dogs dinner they have created? Or is it all about the monetised click revenue?
