Ah interesting info I had no idea it was going to be limited build numbers.

At £90k Im not sure however. Going to pop in to my OPC tomorrow for a chat and get a feeing for whats likely.
more like £65k, ask your OPC if you can post numbers :-), a lot of people know them inc me, but every one is told to hush hush atm, not sure why.

Some one will blat them out soon enough now every OPC knows the numbers. :-)

A lot of signed disclaimers happen till the embargo date.

So what do you know that some of us don't??

If the GT4 turns out to be the car I expect, then my Cayman R will be going up forsale fairly pronto.

sell the gt3 early next year ready for the cayman .
Early next year? When are people expecting deliveries to start?

Solihull OPC said "We think it will be towards the end of next year."

What about orders going in now, when will they be expected to be delivered? Early 2016?

Optimum time to sell gt3 is spring next year. I can live 6 months without a car no probs

I have a Cayman GTS on order and due to the PTS paint I'm being told delivery should be May 2015.

My final spec is over £71k..........it's starting to feel like by the time my car comes, the GT4's will be only a few months away and that I should be switching my order to a GT4........

Lol! I'm just getting started...

There seem to be three schools of thought here:

1. It'll be a stripped out, simplified, lightweight trad drivers car of a type that P hasn't built for years

2. It'll follow Porsche's modern tech-heavy idea of a sports car, albeit denatured somewhat so as not to threaten the GT3

3. It'll be a mildly warmed over, marketing-heavy, GTS

Where's your money?

this bit is a bit worrying as it's not just 100mph any more for 3rd.

the 981 does 82 mph in 2nd gear alone!!!
But will majorily handy for those traffic light gps against those pesky golf r's wont it
ke?
See cayman r thread where mrd said about straight line racing the golf r's 😉

How will long ratios help, just makes the car slower and harder to rev out.

A 997power pack car is faster to 60/70mph than a 997gt3 !and RS.
Back on topic please :-)
Hoping a few people who have orders ask their OPC tomorrow and report back new info.

Just checking in...

David, been away a few days so will respond to email soon...

Reading between the lines, I am guessing the car is either manual only or available with a manual and is a larger capacity (3.6 or 3.8) NA 6.

This is good news... Just need to find some loose change!

lol back on topic yet how many GT3 threads have you tried to derail with you innane opinions.

Anyway, reading this thread reminded me to ping off my LOI to Hatfield so ive done just that. Unfortunately im not in the same position as those more fortunate to share the inside knowledge (but why not just share it if you know it rather than wait for someone else to post it) but hoping for a spec similar to the 96 GT3/Exige S and will be a PTS (if im luckily enough)

It's called trust, and info is forthcoming if the person telling you can trust you, be it some one who works for Porsche or your OPC.

OPC's have a bit of info now so that's a lot of people in the know and quite a few people know some one who knows some one at Porsche.

If you have your name down on one just ASK your OPC !!!

what is clear is OPC's are telling people Feb and the GT4 was leaked at the same time on the Driver training site.

3 months is not long to wait for a full spec.

That is fair enough but at risk of repeating myself, what then is the point of coming here just to tell everyone else you know but you aren't telling....?

Just heard back, we're now on the list too smile

MrD, if you get the chance, pm me over anything you can-we won't be back in the uk until next week so won't get a chance to call in to the local opc for a chat.

It's prompts people with their names down to go and ask their respecting OPC, if their OPC then say "we have no issue you posting on the net"

info comes quicker, it's just a thread with a place where I hope real info will happen 1st as it's quite exciting and we all want to know what the car is going to be.

991, 991GT3, RS and GTS all have the same title threads and info did get leaked or put on there quite fast.

I am not risking my slot to tell a few internet warriors the little info I know, and I guess a lot is hear say till this Feb embargo date.
