what number are you at your OPC ?
First in line, order put through as soon as it goes live on their system with deposit paid then for first batch of cars apparently, not sure if certain OPCs get first dibs if it's very limited numbers or over subscribed however? As I said however this has all been done via email as we're away but I suspect the finer details will be discussed on our return.

It's called trust, and info is forthcoming if the person telling you can trust you, be it some one who works for Porsche or your OPC.
OPC's have a bit of info now so that's a lot of people in the know and quite a few people know some one who knows some one at Porsche.
If you have your name down on one just ASK your OPC !!!
what is clear is OPC's are telling people Feb and the GT4 was leaked at the same time on the Driver training site.
3 months is not long to wait for a full spec.
I've spoken with both of my local dealers today and neither could / would confirm any of the information discussed in this thread. OPC's have a bit of info now so that's a lot of people in the know and quite a few people know some one who knows some one at Porsche.

I've submitted my LOI and was told that I was number 3 in the queue.

its happening is a fact, its the details that noone knows .
Who's noone and what does he know? Again, I stress I haven't spoken in person to my OPC but what I was told was simply a GT3 on a Cayman chassis-take from that what you will!
Whether that means a 996GT3 or a 991 I'm none the wiser at the moment.

Cover above is wrong, most wanted car for 2015 is the GT4 RS
With Audi reportedly pulling out of other race series and Sportauto repeatedly reporting that the rear-engined 911 platform is no longer competitive compared to other mid-engined cars... who knows, maybe as a homologation special, never say never. Edited by EricE on Tuesday 28th October 17:48

Spoke with OPC as I submitted my LOI 3 months back and they didn't require any deposit.Again, I stress I haven't spoken in person to my OPC but what I was told was simply a GT3 on a Cayman chassis-take from that what you will!

Nothing concrete yet as far as they are concerned and they don't reveal where on the list you are.
They suspect however given the new regulations that are coming into force it'll be turbo'd or some form of hybrid but at this stage its all guess work.
If it happens it will be PDK for sure they thought.
Question is will it ever be as revered as the GT3.......
My OPC have not asked for a deposit yet though I gather others have.
Gotta say it'll have to be VERY special for me to part with my GT3.
They sold a comfort Gen 1 13k miles last weekend for 73k don't think it had PCCB either

The numbers are what a lot of people were waiting for :-) Only details given is it will be special and have a 911 derived engine. Only 200 uk cars coming with build slots in 2015 and 2016.
That's 3 per OPC for 2015 cars and 3 per OPC for 2016 cars then.
Hi there, been keepn an eye on this gt4 info.
I'd been chatting to my opc a while back & they hadn't any loi.
Called today & they had 4 deposits- said the car was not far off- info before the end of year. Said they wanted deposits at this stage to confirm serious interest- perhaps "better" customers don't need too!
Anyway I've been out of a porsche for a few years, but I coughed up & I'm 5th on the list now. They're pretty confident that I'll get 1 & it'll be a limited production run.
Like the other posters,,thats the important bit for me.
To keep things positive & its n/a, what's the important spec for most?
Obviously it will need buckets. For me I'd want axle lift. I dunno about ccb's? Unless you're tracking alot?
Of course not forgetting the manual box!!!?

If the numbers & rumours posted above are correct then you're looking at the second batch of 100 if you're no5 on the list-not sure where the 3 per opc number came from but again, assuming it's correct you're in for a 2016 build.I'd been chatting to my opc a while back & they hadn't any loi.

On the numbers I personally think 200 is a wee but too high for serious over subscription-most cars that are limited & most wanted tend to be under 150 units though I'm no expert
One other point on numbers-the last time cars were commodities when new was just prior to the bubble bursting in the late 80's wasn't it? Take from that what you will...
As for spec, clubsport is a must for me-that's the main thing. Not some heavy folding buckets with airbags built in but a proper nomex, harness bar & electrical cut off. Oh & bright colours, a wide variety of bright colours!
