It's all speculation at the moment as we don't know the full specs for the GT4 yet.

FWIW I'd guess:
If you missed out on the GT3 (or never wanted one in the first place you'll love the GT4
If you own a GT3 but are not on the list for the GT4 you'll remain extremely happy!
If you sell your GT3 to replace it for the GT4 then I'm sure that part of the time you'll regret it, part of the time you'll be convinced you made the right decision and the rest of the time you'll be too busy having fun to care.

In other words it won't be 'better' or 'worse' it will be awesome but different!

I'm in. My Cayman S was one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever owned, small, agile and amazingly well balanced. I just hope they make the GT4 the car it should be... Come on Porsche, who cares if it is faster than a 911 Carrera S, completely different market!!!

Well I'm in. LOI in and praying for a good result. Only slight snag could be that the GT4 and the RS arrive together. assuming that the allocation fairies work their magic. Have to have both. How do we get that one passed by the higher authority???? I think given that the RS is at £150K. The GT4 at £75K would look a bargain.

Simple the 911 is uncompetitive in Gt racing and is at the end of its development hindered by rear tyre wear ... so move to mid where there will be a GT3 and GTE spec Cayman so that Porsche can sell customer cars that are competitive again.....

If the gt4 is an epic car and the RS is £150k the gt4 won't be £75k car it will only be this cheap if it's made in numbers with a modest work over!

Your prob right ref GT4 pricing but it doesn't want to get to close to stock GT3 price. Much over £85k and it looks dear.

Spoke to my OPC yesterday, not giving anything away at all.
I'm number 1 or 2 om their list so should get a first year car, whenever that is - hopefully before the end of 2015. As long as deviated stitching and cuphoilders are options I'm in....

My guess is a 6 speed manual to get GT4 regulations and PDK to increase the potential market size. 1000 cars worldwide would be about right. Normally aspirated flat 6 and 375 bhp seems about right to fit in the hierarchy of what Porsche will allow. A 3.6 would be about perfect for performance, development potential and exclusivity,

If anyone in the know would like to pm me with more specific info I would be very happy, the official info vacuum from Porsche is a real pain in the ass.

Why?lets say it has an engine a kin to the 991 gt3 then there is no reason why porsche won't price match! Give it the plain 911s engine then I would say it would be priced circa £80k if it's the 3.4 tuned to 375hp then base price drops to circa £70k!
All guess work of course

I have just spoken to my local OPC in Germany and it seems there are none of the problems here that you guys face in Blighty regarding LOI/deposits/owned >200 911's previously et cetera. I enquired about both the GT3RS and the GT4. As there are no official details released everything you hear is speculation (the guy I spoke to, Herr Mayer, was in Z'Hausen last week). All he could tell me was that the GT3RS he expects to be €180-190,000 and the GT4 to be around the €90,000 region. Turbo, engine CC, RWS, weight, PDK/H-pattern are all unknown. He said I could place a 10% deposit on either a GT3 or a Caymen GTS and simply change the order to a GT3RS or GT4 when official info has been released. He also mentioned a Mid 2015 delivery for the GT4 and Spring 2015 for the GT3RS. I asked about buying here with the C16 option and he said he would have to contact PAG for clarification.

Pretty much exactly what my OPC said over here richie, no deposit needed until the order goes in which won't be until early next year.

This speculation is fun however smile

Sorry, I am much more interested in an early 991 RS, then this GT4, whist the I know all about the GT4, and RS, I do not know when the RHDs GT4s will be available.....

"I know something you don't know" is the key point I think....
