Spoke to dealer for update, no confirmed build slots but uk cars will start production early July ,first cars will be delivered end July beginning August.

Double checked on the 'you have to pay 10k when your build slot is confirmed '..utter nonsense .it is purely dealers discretion to ask for a further deposit.

no one has ever said 10k ?

It's normally 10% down when you order.

Whatever 10k or 10% it's not true, it is dealer discretion .
my dealer will ask for it ,only if for example you order a pink car with a green and yellow interior .

Agreed, and with that spec, he will probably ask for 100% payment upfront biggrin

First non porsche performance figures

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2016-porsche-c...

0-60 in 3.8
0-100 in 8.5
1/4 mile 12.0

American mags do tend to get figures uk mags never get near though, not sure if it's because they test 1 up .

The figures in the car and driver article are estimates. It says (C/D est) at the performance and fuel economy numbers.

That's a shame, would be nice to know how fast it is,porsche figures are usually so conservative.

Any thoughts on vehicle trackers for the GT4?
So far the 3 insurers I spoke to won't touch it without one. The OPC say they can fit something once it's delivered for a grand I assume this is a Cobra? Would prefer to use a tracker TBH - any thoughts/advice?

OPC will fit a Porsche VTS system (Cobra), as I had one fitted to my GTS.

Isn't the VTS fitted as standard to all UK cars??

You just have to pay Cobra for the annual fee.

No it's not as I found out, it was £1200 for it to be installed and £219 for the year.

It's only standard fitment on the 911, I'm not sure about the other models.

Can anyone suggest an insurer who won't insist on a telematics fitment, seems once you get over £40 k in value they are all pushing it.really don't fancy being tracked everywhere
