Sports chrono as far as I can see is the little clock and the app/timing function. Not something I'll be speccing at 1k.
The buckets are extremely comfortable, a bit of a pain to get in and out of, but the secret is to move your seat back before getting out. If you were using it all day every day then don't get buckets, otherwise they are amazing to look at and sit in.
Thanks for that. I think I might give the chrono a miss too as it doesn't affect the way the car drives at all. what colours are you considering. I have two specs I like....Red track (club sport) orientated - http://www.porsche-code.com/PGAZPJX9
Agate road spec - http://www.porsche-code.com/PGLVXAL0
Currently toying between those. I really want Mexico blue so might delay my slot from July if they guarantee I can get PTS.

Your specs look great, especially the agate grey. Never considered it as a colour but it looks great on your spec.. I think it might hurt resale without the PCM though. I think it also looks good in sapphire. Black wheels?Red track (club sport) orientated - http://www.porsche-code.com/PGAZPJX9

I would appreciate some advice/opinions on 2 things please. Are people going to be specifying the chrono package and secondly, will the bucket seats be easy to live with and get in and out of? bearing in mind that I am quite a big guy.
I also sat in the GT4 at Geneva and compared to my memory of 996 GT3 buckets they are wider and more difficult to get in and out of. I felt that because of their width they don't offer much more support, except for the shoulders, than the standard sports seats, and the standard seats have better lumbar support (although if you are also big in width they might suit you - I'm 6'4" but slim). I also think it's stupid to have electric height adjustment in a lightweight bucket. Nevertheless they save 13kg (for the pair), they can be set as low or lower than I want (whether they go lower than the standard seats I don't know) and visually they suit the car much better so I have ordered them. My dealer (in France) said the buckets, and leather with stitching in the paint colour, are the only two options that will benefit resale of the GT4.cymario said:

I sat in the bucket seats in the display car at Geneva - I'd say they are comfier, more adjustable and more usable than previously - they are the new ones - same as the 918 and GT3RS not the 991 GT3. You can't get them heated (like in the GT3) and you can't officially put a child seat on the passenger seat (an issue for me likely not for most) so I am getting adaptive sports seats instead. Although they buckets looked so smart on the display car I've been having second thoughts. I know the experience centre have ordered theirs with the buckets and club sport package so you'll be able to try that before confirming build spec I should think. I have spec'd sport chrono too FWIW.
thanks for that. were the buckets easy to get in and out of?Edited by Oso on Tuesday 31st March 15:45
Per one of the chaps over on Rennlist, Sapphire Blue is no longer available from this point on as a GT4 colour.

1315 kg DIN... once you add the radio and AC back in it'll weigh the same as a GT4.I have to say I prefer the looks of the Spyder to the GT4, less shouty due to the wing and wheels. I also like the idea of a passive suspension with 10mm more ride height.
Spyder for the road, GT4 for the track... I'll visit the OPC after lunch to see if there's a possibility of changing my PTS GT4 preorder to a Spyder.
