I've just discovered something that I thought was a mistake.
The GT4 suspension has normal and sport modes. In sport mode the ride hight of the whole car reduces by 30mm --- so no need for axle lift in every day driving.
Is this a first ?
Or is it now common place and it's passed me by ???

Just changed from Guards Red to Voodoo Blue and added the yellow steering wheel stripe (so I know where I'm at after a dab of oppo).
Final spec(hopefully) but with 918 style buckets instead of folding buckets.

October build, plus a 9 week delay for PTS so December ish build.

Yes, missed that off. I would like to change spec to standard wheels and go back to Alcantara steering wheel, carbon pack and illuminated sill guards, but have been told that if I change spec now may lose LWB seats
I never realised cruise was an option. Find its surprising on a GT carparalla said:

Congrats. Voodoo is a lovely colour in the flesh very similar to Maritime. I saw a 991 GT3 in Voodoo in March looked superb.Final spec(hopefully) but with 918 style buckets instead of folding buckets.

Nice spec, but surprised you happy to pay over £1100 for some tiny bits of leather trim, and not go for upgraded lights at half the price?Final spec(hopefully) but with 918 style buckets instead of folding buckets.

That said Im not going for the leather sills and rear view mirror as paralla is, instead I'm going for the steering column and dash as I think these give more "bang for the buck" - and a bit more contrast stitch too!
It's actually leather sun visors and inner door sills in leather, not the rear vision mirror, that was my mistake on the configurator. It's not really about the leather, its about extra red stitching.
I've put 9000 miles on my current Cayman S in the past 18 months and I can honestly say that I've never used main beam, not even once. I can't recall ever having driven it at night other than around central London where I live. No night time motorway journeys, no night time A roads or country lanes. You really don't need uprated lights while sitting in a queue of traffic on Chelsea Embankment.
If we go for a weekend away night time is for eating and drinking, not driving. I did consider adding PDLS because I know some people really rate it but it would be 100% for the next owner and not for me so decided to skip it. It's already at £80560 and you have to stop somewhere.

there isn't any visible stitching for leather sunvisors, lovely though they are.you do get additional red stitching on steering column casing in leather ..
I was advised against the sill guards as they are prone to clipping of shoes getting in and out and I was told they are somewhat less resistant than the std offering.
Leather steering column and leather dash add the most visual impact in terms of additional stitching IMHO
Cheers,
Dealer emailed requesting change from leather to alcantara for sun visors and add leather covered steering column.
You can see stitching on the leather sun visors on the configurator which I assumed would be red if I'd chosen red stitching. I should have learned by now not to make assumptions when it comes to Porsche options. The pants, non climate control A/C in my S I present as exhibit A.

Ok! Guess that's the difference to living out in the sticks, where I always spec the best headlight on any new car, as so essential to have the best illumination of country roads.I've put 9000 miles on my current Cayman S in the past 18 months and I can honestly say that I've never used main beam, not even once. I'd get Burmester again in a heartbeat if it was offered.
I'm swapping out all the Sound Package Plus kit for a car full of this which will hopefully come close to matching the meister setup.
