A question for those who have their UK/European spec car already :

I have my car already (in Portugal) but am awaiting the English owners manual.

When you switch on the ignition is there a passenger airbag warning light that comes on above the rear view mirror, or for that matter anywhere else ? I have a US PDF manual and that states that a check light should illuminate. Nothing occurs in my car.

I am trying to work out if the LWB's in the European spec cars have weight sensors in order to turn off the passenger air bags.

Thanks in advance for any info.

think what you want to think :-) I don't have to prove anything, that's just the spec of my car and their pictures are better than mine. plus I am on holiday at Lake Como.

Are you getting one ?

YOU are a Jan 2016 build wink

Apart from the (likely) £3k price increase in Jan It wouldn't bother me one jot being one of the last - won't drive it much in Winter smile

Unfortunately not. I had a deposit down when the book opened but unfortunately lost out to flippers. I'll probably hold fire for a later generation one with better gearing now wink

Anyone had an update on seat shortages, I was on for a October delivery but told by dealers delays are now likely because of seat shortages.
Any ideas people? Dealers communication skills aren't the best tbh!

Don't forget all new or changes to existing insurance polices from November will see premiums increase too because of the new rate of IPT (up from 6% to 9.5%)... frown

Do you have a build date? Mine is Oct 12th with expected delivery 2 weeks later, so hopefully the car will be in my hands before November. I've not heard of any delays

I haven't been given a specific build date but the dealer did initially tell me the car should be with them in October. I was only told last week there was a seat shortage after much chasing, I'm told I'll have an update this week, I'm not holding my breath!

God knows,I was told about a seat shortage but had a production date of october 8th and about 9 days ago I got told that my car had started production.

In a nutshell ,it seems pretty clear that they haven't got a clue.

So either you have the car or you don't, and either you own the car or don't (awaiting delivery is not ownership). Don't know why you have to make a riddle out of every situation to hide the fact you bang on about gearing yet haven't yet taken ownership and have spent a small amount of time in the car at PEC!

Can you use a cigarette socket trickle charger on hear or do we need to get the plumbed in ctek in thru the front boot?
I used a ctek connected directly to the battery in the front boot and just unclipped the extended cable rather than unplug from the terminals each time.

Thank you.

Got confirmation mine was completed a few days ago just awaiting shipping.
You can use the Porsche battery conditioner (£85) which plugs into the cigarette pack socket and out through the side window.

I did the same in my 991. Can't see why the GT4 would be any different.
