Option 78 (£1344) as per your spec covers the majority of the dash in leather, with matching coloured stitching. The leatherette is the free Option 28 which means much of the door cappings and dash are just leatherette - which is a fake leather, reasonable but not the real thing. The doors also miss out on the aluminium trim piece which is only included with Option 78.
Option CZW (Extended interior package dashboard trim in leather) adds in the missing parts of the dash in leather - mostly around the air vents, speakers and door ends. Its is pricy at £725 but it also adds quite a bit of additional coloured stitch to these areas which is otherwise black. Option XNS (£220) adds leather and coloured stitch to the steering column casing, which is otherwise plastic and not stitched. Not strictly part of the dash, but closely related really.
The launch car at Geneva had CZW fitted but not XNS, these are the pictures I took at the time - hope they help explain.
Thanks very much for that, much clearer now, pictures look fantastic and in the right colour too Option CZW (Extended interior package dashboard trim in leather) adds in the missing parts of the dash in leather - mostly around the air vents, speakers and door ends. Unless you are going basic track hack spec and intend keeping the car over say 3 years money spent on pcm and basic leather upgrade will be recouped on resale.
Try getting bids on any under 3 year old £65k+ car without pcm and poverty/ wrong spec........ and even a GT4 could well feel the pain......:

What's the general consensus here on trackers? I have read a few threads but nothing conclusive. It looks as though I need a tracker as the companies that don't require one also don't cover track days (in general).
Have people a) not bothered with a tracker and used one of the generalist insurers (admiral, elephant, etc) 2) had Porsche VTS tracker installed (is this ~£1,100?) 3) had an aftermarket Cat 5/6 tracker installed from the likes of Tracker 4) got a better idea?
Cheers
PS. Car is turning up this week and I can't wait, subject to sorting this insurance hassle

We are in a transitional time for in car systems. With the mass migration to integrated android and Apple systems, many of the current systems are going to feel 'tape cassette' old in a very short time period. Once these systems sweep across the industry (as they inevitably will). Who is going to pay a premium the somwhat average PCM system Porsche currently fit.Try getting bids on any under 3 year old £65k+ car without pcm and poverty/ wrong spec........ and even a GT4 could well feel the pain......:
Based on online opinion, others seem to feel the same. My Gt4 comes in at just under 80k , yet I don't think the lack of PCM will put off many buyers when I move it on.
On the handful of days per year I do need Nav, my old friend Google will do the work (better than pcm would ).

I would worry to much about PCM and resale very few gt4 owners and owners to be have specced it!
I'd be very surprised if that is the case; most owners seem sensitive to residual value so spec PCM just for the new owner; after all, why would anyone consider £2300+ good value to add a basic sat nav system. The trouble I have, is that whilst sat nav wouldn't be used for finding my way, it is handy for finding straight roads before you get there for any caravan overtakes you need to do I've not as far as even considering this option yet, I'm struggling to get over the first hurdle (colour!). But, if PCM is not selected, what is the next best option, just a sound system upgrade £300, or paying the extra £700 for the stereo upgrade which includes USB and DAB!Madadd said:

Old Vs. new is a different argument to old Vs. nothing. No matter what I think, my partner would never let me buy a car without navigation and I'm inclined to agree as it moves the responsibility of choosing the "wrong way" from me to the nice lady in the dashboard. I agree that some years down the line I might not pay a premium for a car with PCM but I wouldn't pay anything at all for one without.
PCM offered no value to me so I didn't spec it. Gave it brief consideration purely in terms of resale but I really think it will make minimal difference. Possibly even date the car.
Mine is CS spec so I believe that sets the tone of the car and won't be affected by lack of PCM. I did however go for leather because it does significantly improve the feel of the cabin.
I'm happy with my choice.

Did you upgrade the basic audio at all though? If not, surely ripping it out to suit the CS would have been better Mine is CS spec so I believe that sets the tone of the car and won't be affected by lack of PCM. I did consider a complete track sl*g, but removing the air-con would be madness in a small cabin with engine for company!

No, just kept it standard. I imagine the weight saving Is minimal and there's no way I'd go for no AC in a coupe. I did consider a complete track sl*g, but removing the air-con would be madness in a small cabin with engine for company!
