New 2014 model year Evoque - any issues?
Discussion
Looking at purchasing new Evoque in next few days, really like everything about it, great drive and good spec, not cheap but residuals look good and get a lot for your money. Looking at Dynamic 2.2d with 4WD and manual box, slight hesitancy around pushing button due to potential warranty problems, The Which guide rates it low on reliability although their survey is small.
Any feedback from 2014 model year owners appreciated.

Zippee and bluenose, I am intrigued by the comments around auto. Both my wife and I have always had manual, really enjoy manual, never really liked auto boxes.
Why do you wish you had got auto is there something with manual?
Why does auto suit the car better than manual, I always thought it was driver preference?

As the mechanicals are pretty much the same as the FL2, I'd echo the 'get an auto' comments. I have a manual 2013 FL2, and as far as manual gearboxes go it's excellent, precise, quite a short throw, but...the 6 speed coupled with the TD4 engine means I find myself changing gear constantly to keep it in the rev range, and wish I'd got an auto for a more relaxing drive around town and on twisty B-roads.
As for the oily bits, I've done 20k miles in my 2.2 TD4 and it's not missed a beat, noisy on start-up but quietens down once it's heated up.
