Suitable tyre choice Audi A4 Sport 130bhp Quattro 2004
Discussion
I have searched but nothing recent. Used for commuting to work and the occasional longer trip. Tried conti's once but too noisy so reverted back to Dunlop sports....but i'm fed up only getting 12k out of these tyres, I'm not heavy with the right foot.
So can anyone offer some advice 235/45 on 17 rims , general all round good performance, sensible price, decent longevity?
Your advice very much appreciated!!

If longevity is your key requirement but you don't want something that it such a hard compound that it doesn't work in variable temperature conditions, or make loads of noise as a result of the compound then Michelin is your best bet. One of the Pilot Sport range will fit the bill - most likely a little more expensive than Contis but they'll last longer
Can't see the point of fittig a smaller tyre tbh - more hassle than it's worth:

It doesn't look like you want XL tyres (unless the tyre information specific to your vehicle says otherwise) so as an example of what's available mytyres are doing the Primacy 3 for £96.50 each
I personally would stick to the correct load and speed index for the model - I made the mistake of going up in load index to run a tyre I wanted and it killed the ride
