I see Aldi have one of these for £10.99.

Anyone got one? Chances of it being anywhere near accurate?

It will not equal tye accuracy and subtletty that the very much more expensive monitors can achieve. It may provide basic minimum information. What are you looking to achieve through the use.? I ask as a heart patient of some years. Your doctor could probably provide alternatives worth considering if there is an underlying concern that requires monitoring. These may be more expensive but if you really need the information does cost matter?

Steffan,

I have a few ticker issues post heart attack and by-pass. Shortness of breath when pushed mainly.
I take regular cardiac exercise (3 mile walks) but have been advised by hospital physios to keep heart rate close to, but below 115, during the more strenuous stages of my walks. Usual routine is warm up - push - cool down, repeat as required during walk.

Just wondering if it's near enough for my needs. Happy to buy a better one but why spend unless you have to eh.

Take your pulse at the same time then you'll know how accurate it is.

I would buy the best you can in such circumstances. Cost matters little when health issues are concerned. Gentle regular exercise is undoubtedly the best but only under medical supervision and a good monitor could add to that supervision. Record the data regularly and follow the experts advice rigidly. Best of luck!

I am currently walking 8 kilometres a day every day in Italy and I feel and look a lot better and a lot lighter for it. Lost 10.5 stones over the years (many) without which I would have been long gone. Diabetic but aveage 5.2 sugar count and 2.1 cholesterol. It can be done keep at it in a controlled way it will help.
