Personally, I would rather sell a kidney to raise cash than let Austin go.
You'd probably only get a few pence for that knackered old kidney Glen - so hopefully it won't come to considering Austins future as well!

As Mike says, nothing to loose by trying it now. If you just get one serious buyer, its worth it. If no one calls its just an insertion fee to have tried.

Hi Mike,
Once MOT is done I will advertise it and see what happens.

Daily driver too boring, Jetta diesel, so fancy A change, if the S sells it gives me more cash to spend .
Depends on outcome if no sale then stick as is ? Just testing the market really. Tempting fate as I did this with the MGB I had before and it sold on the day. We will see.

It's actually a very good kidney Pete: it's had plenty of preservative fluids. wink
The liver has been well punished though.

Couple of S's on ebay recently, very little interest appeared to be shown.

Sorry but its true. I weakened and it was snapped up. I am looking into a replacement, but only just started research.
I have a few spares I will sort that may help others out. It has been 3 exciting and eventful years, have met many friendly helpful people, gleaned loads of advice and enjoyed some great runs around the country.
I dont normally keep a car more than 2 years but special exceptions do occur.
Didn't plan such a quick exit from TVR ownership, but the opportunity occured..................
Paul , I hope you get the interest and result you really want, which ever that may be... I have just been out to the garage, just a big empty space, but there is still a hint of that TVR aroma hanging around ......... cry

Hi Mike,

Well goodness me. You do move quickly !!

It's been a pleasure enjoying TVRs with you - and I wish you all the best in the hunt for a new "beast". What are you thinking of getting ?

Do keep in touch - and whatever you get it'll be nice to have a breakkie from time to time.

Thanks Mike, when I purchased mine about 7 years ago I sorted a few things that needed attention like the bulkhead bearing, steering rack and new tyres oh and a new battery then just drove her even in winter although avoided the wet roads.

When the divorce happened I had to keep her outside for a Month before getting a garage again so my Girlfriend bought me an expensive storm cover which is designed to fit the s series so that will be included.

I might still have a run out to the odd meet or show in the Micra!!!
Take care

Well looks like you won't have a problem selling it, take the man up on his offer.
