I just did this update last night for my Z2. It's ok but for a couple of really annoying things:
- On the apps close button on the homescreen, you can no longer just select 'close all', you have to manually swipe each one. For someone who is a bit OCD and likes a clear phone, this is very annoying.
- I keep being notified literally every half hour that my phone is at 75% full memory. Before the update this would just randomly come on periodically or after switching on the phone from off. Now it is every half hour to an hour and it's so annoying. You can't untick the notification box either as it's greyed out. I know my phone is at 75% as I use it as my satnav and have a lot of maps loaded on, but use it for little else storage wise, other than a few pics, so I'm perfectly happy for it to be 75% full dammit Sony!
I had that 75% warning on KitKat, however on Lollipop you can move a lot of apps to SD, try that to free up some space?- On the apps close button on the homescreen, you can no longer just select 'close all', you have to manually swipe each one. I don't have an SD card and I'm loath to get one just to stop this notification popping up. Like I said I don't have much storage, just some pics and the sat nav. I don't seem to have a red 'X' to close all apps? Hopefully they will add it as an update maybe?
Also I've noticed my battery is a bit lower than usual and i've hardly used my phone today. This morninng before work it was 100%, now it's at 79% and have hardly used it...

Is it worth £8.99?stevejh said:
I got a 340mb update a few days ago on my O2 Galaxy S5. I thought it was the 5.1 update but apparently it's just some bug fixes. It seems to have cured the 'Contacts has stopped working' error that I was getting and the battery life seems to have improved significantly. There are a couple of other changes including a 'do not disturb' button in the notification bar and some customisation options connected to that.
Overall I'm quite pleased with the update and just hope 5.1 makes it even better.
Can't wait for those bug fixes, the 'contacts has stopped working' error is getting right on my tits.Overall I'm quite pleased with the update and just hope 5.1 makes it even better.
Being a bit simple with phones and searching 5.0.2 on here I'm greeted with this whopping thread. Updated to the same on my Sony Z3 today and seems ok - but ... one of my favourite game apps crashes when I try to play. I've tried deleting the game and reinstalling and get the same issue. It's quite an old game, so not sure developer would be doing anything their end (if they need to?) for a new android version. Anything I can do?
Put it on my Z3 yesterday, to be honest it just seems like the same OS but they have moved stuff around to pretend it's better. It's not better, it's just different, seems like change for the sake of it.
Love:
Moving apps to the SD card at last, about time and easily the best thing about the update.
Hate:
Not being able to close all open apps at once. Apparently closing all apps at the same time is a bad thing according to Google, sounds like a pack of lies to justify the missing feature.
Unlock screen but then still have to swipe up before typing unlock code, an extra unnecessary step.
Indifferent:
Quick access and unlock screens, not better, not worse but will take some time to adjust to.
Messages on the front screen when locked, yet to decide if I like it or not but at least I can turn those off if I don't like them.

Right slight issue with wife's HTC M8 on 5.0.1, what's happening since last update is that the Bluetooth connection to her car won't recognise her contacts in the phone book, so that when anyone rings it just shows as a number and not a known contact, and when she needs to ring someone she can't just scroll through to the contact and select, now tried un pairing and re pairing the phone, also turning Bluetooth on and off, still no good, my M7 works ok so its not the car at fault, any idea's next, she's pissed off and going back to iPhone I think if this isn't sorted.
Contacts seem fine on my car bluetooth, Sony Z3 and Ford bluetooth if it matters. What does seem slightly broken is the signal strength indicator, kept thinking I had no signal but if I double tapped the screen (phone was resting on passenger seat) that seemed to kick it into action and show the signal. Any time I glanced at the phone it was showing signal but not always on the car.
Also tried a bluetooth speaker this morning, it's always been a bit temperamental with any device or OS, and I couldn't manage to even play a single song before it stopped working and just paused the music. Eventually after pressing play for about the 10th time the phone froze and just rebooted itself.
I do like the way spotify shows on the lock screen now though, much better.
