Panamera 3.0 v6 0-60 in 6.8 seconds - Not a bit pathetic

The cayenne is excellent. I came close to buying a 2008 gts variant a few months back but just missed out due to distance required to travel. Cayenne turbo it is.

I'd happily take a 4.8 panamera but they do seem thin on the ground.

Ah well. I guess we will see what happens.

I'm sure the diesel model is a nice enough car, but if you can afford a car like this why buy the diesel?

I've driven all models in the Panamera range;
the biggest problem I found with the diesel is the fact it's 2wd
it has a fair amount of torque that on our often damp roads will regularly break traction at the rear.
same with the first gen hybrid
to be fair when you are rolling it felt adequately fast.
but we don't buy Porsches to be adequately fast, well I don't
So I bought a 4S
but the turbo itch grew .... and grew... so it was satisfied.
after a great 18 months in the 4S I traded it in for a Turbo
I have however discovered (private road...) that in damp / wet conditions you can get wheelspin at 100mph....in a straight line....
stupidly fast car and drives exceptionally well in my opinion
sure, its no GT3, in terms of driver involvement & feedback, but It would certainly give one a run for its money (yes, I had a GT3)

That is exactly what I was getting at. You are right, you don't buy a porsche to "make do" it shoulf set standard and set your pants on fire.

So your saying a 4s or turbo. ill save 18 months and wait for a turbo haha.
