I'm finding it hard to call it tonight, neither of these chefs seem to be up to all that much, but I'm sure whoever wins will do a great job of making up the numbers for the real contenders next week.

Just watching in iPlayer - chef Is either a or has asbergers.

Amazing contrast with Nathan Outlaw who was relaxed, enthusiastic and supportive in his kitchen.

I know who will get the best from their chefs.

I noticed Michel Roux Jr is one of the chefs at the table this evening.

Even with my limited culinary skills, that looked like a good honest plate of food produced by Sven.

Hope Brian pulls it off but Sven looking like the favourite. Good to see MRJ back too - I see he brought some of his spuds for Sven wink

Brian has been a bit of a dark horse, unless Danny picks himself up I think it could be a Brian / Sven final, which would be a shame as Danny has been much stronger across the whole competition.

I think Sven will take it this year, though remember Adam from last year, amazing all the way them deeply unimpressive on the final round, which lost him the competition.

Glad i wasnt the only one who noticed rooster spuds!

MRJ was epic to see him back. I think Danny has dropped a bk. Hope he can pull it back. I cant really get enthused about the others. Well maybe Brian.

No it was a wooden stick carved to look like a sausage in the frying pan.

I was only half-watching this one, but to me that was the very definition of "poncy food". A "stained handkerchief", served up with a straight face.

that food is a complete joke, if you served up a piece of tomato with a couple of Almonds and some caviar in the first round of Masterchef would you get through to round 2?? Quote of the day from the silly spanish bloke "can we put the whole garden into a ravioli". Emperors New Clothes spring to mind.
