Manhattan rooms with a view
Discussion
Hi
Stayed in NYC many times at a variety of places , but taking GF there for her first time next year and want to give her the full first timer experience- so I am after a hotel with rooms with a really cracking high up view of midtown. Not too bothered about super luxe rooms as you are hardly in them, but a view would be great. Has anyone stayed in any in Midtown they would recommend at a reasonable price - was thinking possibly the Grand Hyatt or the Hilton but other suggestions welcome.

Have a look at the Affinia Dumont. Not far from the ESB it has cracking views of the Chrysler Building.
The rooms are nothing special but are large with a kitchenette. Even if you don't plan to cook a 3 course meal it's surprisingly useful to buy a few essentials and stick them in the fridge. Bought some bread and butter for the occasional tea and toast

Stayed there last year, amazing views, and the "barking dog" café next door serves great food. The rooms are nothing special but are large with a kitchenette. Also did the same with the kitchenette, I would stay there again for sure, I don't recall it being that cheap mind you.

I don't think there's much on Manhattan in the way of accommodation that's cheap. I think it could be classed as mid range? Here's a pic OP. Also did the same with the kitchenette, I would stay there again for sure, I don't recall it being that cheap mind you.
