Hello everybody,

I have just bought a feb 2010 BMW 2.0d Coupe and need to sell my old 2007 plate BMW 2.0i BMW coupe but before that I want to move the cream leather seats from 2007 plate which are electric to the 2010 plate which has black leather and manuel.

Is this possible and how much would it cost ? Thanks in advance.

Could you respond with the actual model of the car? You just say 'coupe' and 2.0d or 2.0i ... could be a variety of models... Presumably you mean the 1 series? Also nice to see Manuel is alive and kicking (sorry, easy target).

Are you doing this because you like the colour of your old seats or because you want electric seats?

And can I be the first to ask why you didn't buy a car with the seats that you wanted?

It's not just the seats it's the door cards and rear quarters / bench etc. Then the car won't match the BMW spec and buyers might get funny when you sell it.
Also the car will certainly need recoding to enable the seats and clear airbag warnings etc.
Wouldn't bother personally...

Thanks for the replies.

(i) 07 plate 320i petrol E92 Coupe cream leather electric seats

(ii)10 plate 320d Auto E92 Coupe black leather manuel seats

I want to swap around the door cards, seats etc. The cream interior on the 07 plate despite being older looks fab with the contrast to the black bodywork - both cars are sapphire black. 2010 plate looks dull from inside with sea of black.

Yes I should have got cream leather but I wanted a 320 coupe, sapphire black, cream leather, diesel, autobox, 2010 plus, mint condition and full Beemer service history all within tight budget.

Finally after months I found one that was within my budget and ticked all the boxes except ....... the cream leather!

So I prevaricated and then jumped. Then was going to put the 07 on sale but that cream leather .. wow! So here I am trying to tick off the final box.

You should be able to do it, however, you might need to buy the electric retrofit kit.

When you say electric, do you mean memory seats?

Are they both heated, or non heated?
