Bit of a random one, my handbrake light only ever seems to work when it's wet outside, and even then it's occasional. All other interior/dash lights work.

My theory is that there's a loose connection somewhere that somehow is being helped along by moisture, that may sound silly but it's my best guess so far. Anyone else got any suggestions or know where I should be poking around - are all the relevant terminals behind the dash?

I would still bet its the switch under the lever that's faulty regardless of the weather conditions.

It can only really be the switch, it's a little fiddly to get at from in the car but can be done and even the most untechnical person on earth could strip the switch out and clean the connections properly.

I'm not saying its not the switch itself, but I recommend checking the mechanical operation of the switch first, you may find tweaking the little stop plate the switch bares on is all that's needed.

I've needed to tweak this little plate on my Chimaera & my mates Chim too, in both cases the symptom was an intermittent handbrake light.

A small tweak of this plate so the switch works as it should and in both cases the problem was immediately resolved.

I'd also check the led, all of mine can be temperamental and require a tap to spring back into life.
