This.Although mobiles were great when they were phones, for talking to people calling them to let them know you were home/ broken down etc. Now people's lives revolve around the little plastic pieces of ste.

The past was not a utopian nirvana. Mostly it was a lot worse than things are now.
Mobile phones were a brilliant innovation and changed both how we worked and played.
The internet is amazing and world wide web more so.
Smartphones and tablets have changed things again: I'd argue much for the better.
The fact that numbskulls have a platform for spouting vile opinions is a downside, I'll admit. But I'd say in general in almost inestimable benefits outweigh the problems.
