That superbowl trailer looks terrible, just cliche'd rubbish and everything set up to try and make it appeal to under fifteens. So hang on, the "protector" terminator says "Ive been waiting for you" when the "bad" terminator materialises, but while doing that waiting, he decided he wouldn't bother arming himself with anything more effective than a shotgun?
Maybe in this timeline he never saw Terminator 1, and doesn't realise that he cant really be destroyed with a shotgun.
As with every classic movie, they cant resist rehashing the same old rubbish to try and sell tickets on the reputation of the original.

Yep, why be creative and use your imagination and possibly have the 'next' big thing, when you can just rehash something tried and tested and get an 'ok' result instead.
There are still good films coming out but I don't think the continuation of the Terminator storyline is one that will bear fruit.

But the local shop has sold out of phase plasma rifles with a 40watt range, so he just had to improviseOne thing I will say is that actress has the young Sarah connor look nailed on, and she is excellent in Game of Thrones so that is a promising sign

So if john conner 'appears' to be a fancy new ...lets call him Nano Terminator, and matt smitth has been totally ignored and is slated for the trilogy.
Who thinks that John Conner (with actor as we see in the trailer has ALWAYS been a terminator, and skynet is playing some weird endgame, when in fact, Matt Smith will be the ACTUAL human John Connor, and he never even tried to run the resistance?
Possibly the Terminator John Connor is a different A.I. that wants to beat Skynet and rule himself, using the humans to his end goal?
All just conjecture, but i cant see why they would give away a mojor plot giveaway like that in the trailer. seems very stupid, and holywood isnt known for being THAT blatant in the trailers.
