Sadly had to sell it after the financial crash. Remember I live in France and the slump in both the exchange rates and interest rates nearly wiped me out as far as income was concerned. So the cottage and car had to go. It lives in Geneva these days.

Interestingly, after seeing your photo of the Lindner/Nocker car, I thought of this one I took at Montlhery in 2010:-

I guess you know the history of the accident in which five people died, and I thought it in very poor taste that the owner of this replica had come back to the same track with it. He had absolutely no idea about the story and thought it rather "amusing". I had to walk away I was so angry.

Sad that you had to part with the "Kettle" after the majestic build, life can be difficult at that must have been a tough call, still you hung on to CWN and at least rebuilt her to prime condition.
HWB thrives on !!

I've just seen these photos on another forum. It's a Lotus MkIX fitted with an XK engine, which must have made for interesting handling characteristics.

I suspect it could also oversteer rather well to make up for it?

£ 28,750 for a non runner seems strong money! Guess I'll have to keep saving up for one :-(

I was thinking the same thing.

Do we have a view on typical values for these? (pretty hard to give an 'average' value due to the scarcity and variation of the cars I assume...)

Last year a reasonable V12 Eventer was sold for £22,000 by CKL. The trouble is, with the scarcity of the car and seemingly that Lynx products are now no longer "modified old Jags or replicas" but collectables, the prices have suddenly taken off. The XKSS sold to Chris Evans at the Revival sale is a pointer - the car fetched £385,000 whereas before they were in the £200/250,000 range and a few years back £125,000. Why I don't know, but perhaps it's because other cars are now out of reach. I know that Chris had been looking for a real one for a while but they are hen's teeth nowadays and decided that for having fun a good replica was just as good. But as said, if people want one they don't have a lot of choice really. Oh, and the most 'orrible Paolo Gucci one-off Eventer in need of love and attention sold for £42,000 recently:-
