Bank payment times

I recently did some work for a very large Indian company on UK Property.

They paid me yesterday. Money sent about Noon our time, arrived in my bank account 3 hours later.

Compared to the farce of getting paid from the US and Europe we are put to shame...

Had you worked with them before in anyway. I would assume not else they would have delayed it in some way just to annoy you as I feel compelled to do the same.

Payment systems a cross the globe are complex and settlement times for payments rely on a number of factors. I find payments from the US, Eurozone and UK can all clear on the same day they are made.

I've also just done some work for a large UK based supermarket. I wonder how long they will take to pay.....?

the indian business culture is payment on demand. not plus n days

we use a marketing company out there and we pay them promptly as it is important to them. in return anything we ask gets done instantly
