Have been thinking about doing a motorbike CBT for a while and have a few days off work soon so finally going to book it up. Just wondered if anyone can share any experience, positive or negative, of companies in the Reading, Wokingham and surrounding areas? Lightening and Three Counties seem to be two popular choices.

There's a training centre in the pinewood centre in Crowthorne. Often see them wobbling about when I'm out walking the dog!

Did CBT and DAS with Lightning. CBT is only a single days training so not much to it. Very easy to pass too. All I'll say is bring your own helmet and gloves if you have them as the riding school ones are likely to be pretty disgusting.

Lightning are good for DAS if you go on to that, as they have a base in Oxford too which is where the nearest test centre is (for some stupid reason there isn't one in Reading any more).

Is it Lightning who use Rivermead Leisure Centre?

Wasn't aware of the Pinewood centre one, will drop them a line, thanks.

Yes that's right. It's not a bad ride from Caversham (Rivermead) over to Cowley (Oxford) where the other base is. Did that a few times whilst training with them.
