Hi.. needing info for a friend who has one of these, his engine management light has just come on, no loss of power. He hasn't had it long and knows very little about cars. I realise that it could be anything but what would be the first to look for. Thanks

Get yourself a obd2 reader and read the fault codes. You can get cheap Bluetooth ones of eBay for £10 if you have an android phone.

Very likely to be a sensor (prob the o2 one)/but as there is more than one you need to find out which one wants replacing. Although still running OK its probably causing it to over fuel so is worth fixing.

Almost certainly an O2 sensor. OEM ones cost about £60 each... I had 2 go at around 70-80,000 miles.
