I do like Imola but I think Tanzanite would be my favourite.
£1,120 that you don't get back at resale, but it is a great colour.

Prefer this though:

Is that not only an M6 colour? If I was to get an M6 it would be that colour, its stunning.

Carbon Black (very dark blue in reality) with Cinnamon interior here - I find the Cinnamon a good balance between not being black, but dark enough not to mark, etc. Still spotless after 1 year/6k miles.

You can get in on any BMW as long as you pay for it smile

£3k for Individual BMW colours I think?

I noticed the BMW website was down the past few days, got into it again today and had a look at the 6 series info but can't download the standard spec (error page) and the M Sport highlights alcantara as an option ?

Is this an update ahead of a 2015 model change ?????

Alcantara what? Headling has been an option since launch. I've not noticed it on seats or steering wheel though.

i can only see the alcantara headlining in the configurator - although interestingly when you look at the picture, the seat is alcantara - so perhaps they do offer them somewhere!

Ok I give up googling BMW colours as I can't get an answer/true picture regards Glacier Silver.

Does this silver have a blue tint to it similar to Silverstone ? if not then what is the difference between glacier and titanium silver ?

imho glacier has more of a greyish blue tint whereas silverstone has a more ice blueish tinge - i haven't seen both next to each other, but i actively like silverstone, glacier was more meh..

I've owned a Titanium 3 in the past and saw a few glacier 6GC's during my search. IMO Glacier silver (as the name suggests) is further towards the white/grey side against Titanium. I would say as a silver I much prefer Titanium.

I spoke to the dealer earlier who described it as a grey silver opposed to bright, not quiet a half way house between silver and space grey but heading that way.

They have one in the showroom so popping in tomorrow for a look.

Anyone have thoughts or pics on non factory tints ? The car doesn't have factory privacy, I always think aftermarket tints don't look that great highlighting the dots round the edge and orange heated window lines.

Silverstone is very blue in some lights, I had frozen Silverstone on my M3, it changed colour from almost an aluminium to silver blue depending on the light conditions.

thoughts only (no pics) - i wouldn't put aftermarket tints on a car of this calibre.

Looks like I have decided on white and by some sort of a "miracle" they seem to have found an alpine white car with sport plus pack that I wanted, funny that eh. It also has the piano black inlays (pricey at £490?) still no factory privacy though so I'll need to weigh that up.

Waiting on a finance quote for the car as the finance manager was not in at the weekend.

Let's see if they can hit my budget for a car with nearly £3k's worth of extra spec from the white one which was previously offered on budget.

I think the privacy glass looks pretty awful on a light colour 6GC. Spoils the lines of the car. You can get away with it on Space Grey and darker colours but not the whites and silvers IMO.

WRT tints it's worth bearing in mind the GC has a pretty small glass house. I have light interior and sunroof which helps. But on a dark interior (especially if you're not getting sunroof) tints will only exacerbate that. Therefore there are some positives of not having tints.

Last deal on the table 640d GC with sport+, piano black trim, rear camera, black interior -
list £72,300
Offer £54,300 (circa 26% disc)

I couldn't get to £555 a month though with a £4.5k deposit. The best was a £5k deposit and £575.

Decided to leave it for the moment. This included trading in my S5 aswell.

Got a decision to make now as even looking at a lesser spec'd A7 sportback black edition this is £670 a month !
