Did anybody else go? It seemed much better supported this year than it was last year, bot in terms of cars on the grid and spectators!
A healthy grid made the night race quite spectacular to watch.

A few quick pic...

We had a season-best grid for Trophy too.

Yeah, both grids were very healthy, it was like a totally different series from last year with some great racing again. I wonder if it had to do with the lack of 24hr race meaning folks still had budget left at the end of the season this year?
You very nearly ended up with a night race of your own after the final race was red flagged, it was starting to get quite dime towards the end.
Was Kevin Riley OK? I didn't hear an update before the end.

Yes, I understand he is OK. I spoke to him after the crash in Race 1 and he was saying how sturdy the Mosler is. I just wasn't expecting him to try and prove it in Race 3!

I've seen the results of three big smashes this year - Alistair Lindsay in the Chevron GT3 in Britcar Endurance at Oulton, the Radical/BMW in the Birkett, then Kevin hitting the end of the pit wall at Donington - makes you think...

Hi all,

Was my first visit to any Britcar event (Or endurance races in general) and thoroughly enjoyed it! The racing was very good and much better than I expected.

The night race was superb, never seen anything like it and will be something I want to see again. I did think at one point we might see daylight again with enough safety cars laugh

All in all though, top event and will be back!

I've enjoyed this race for several seasons now, but even more so this year...probably a combination of good grids, good weather and withdrawal symptoms of not having a 24hr race in 2014. Last year's drive by Andy Schultz was special though, as was Andy Jordan's the year before.

Hope Kevin is back to good health very soon: must say the marshals did a cracking job getting to him in record quick time and bringing the race to a quick/safe stop. Having seen it first hand, and checked my video again, it really didn't strike me that Steve Glynn was to blame for the crash: unfortunately KR was really slow all the way round the lap, and especially slow out of the final corner, and gave Steve nowhere really to go.

If ever there was an appropriate car to carry the slogan 'thank you marshals' on the back, then it has to be the #7 KRM Mosler.

Hi Jim,
Actually it was Warren Gilbert in that Marcos, I was in the other one. Nevertheless, you are right poor Warren was just a spectator in the incident & had no time to be able to react even if there had been anywhere for him to go! Thankfully for all concerned no one was seriously injured. I understand that Warren has phoned Kevin to check on how he is & he reports that he is fine although somewhat sore & bruised. Unfortunate way to end the season though. Cheers
Steve
