Yet more changes today as the manager guesses his best 11 only for Rodgers and his backroom boys to be outsmarted by the mighty Neil Warnock. They drop an extra man into the middle and then out muscled a lightweight team. Gerrard not at the races, Coutinho wasteful, Sterling another no show. The discipline of the side when defending is as bad as I have seen. All this against Crystal Palace.
New coaching staff needed to fix the glaring defensive weakness. If Rodgers doesn't accept there is a problem then sack him also. The soothing tones of Rodgers will soon be drowned out by the demands of the supporters paying to watch this crap.

I'm in two minds. Firstly I thought we're not like those fickle fans of other clubs that call for a managers head at the first sight of bad times. Any manager should get a season to turn things around. If he can't achieve that in 38 matches then fair game.
But then I thought any new manager should be given time to assess the squad and a few months to scout out new players before the summer. So maybe if the managers job is on the line then they should be fired in the New Year to give the new manager time before the summer window opens.
However, I think we have a squad capable of attaining a top four position, with maybe the signing of a striker. So...
I'd say if we're still playing this badly come January and then BR gets fired then I'd be disappointed but not surprised.

You're 2 wins off the top four and football is fickle just look at Newcastle and how much pressure Pardew was under a fortnight ago.
You were st today though - I still think there are a lot of hang ups from last seasons bottling, and sorry but you have the most pessimistic miserable looking fker of a captain of any team I can think of.

Hmmm, disagree, not two wins off top four. Probably 4 straight wins to get back to top four. And going distinctly in the wrong direction. Most of the teams above Liverpool now are either in form, or returning to form, with morale and confidence, not some thing Liverpool have. Most of the teams 'around' Liverpool are scoring goals and defending their leads when they go ahead, or as Spurs showed, coming back and over turning leads. Liverpool are scoring first and then losing, not even hanging in there for draws.......You were st today though - I still think there are a lot of hang ups from last seasons bottling, and sorry but you have the most pessimistic miserable looking fker of a captain of any team I can think of.
Teams are looking forward to playing Liverpool this year. They smell points, they smell fear, they small lack of confidence, they see a manager that doesn't influence the team positively during the match, doesn't seem to be able to turn things around.
The Suarez affect last year gave everyone fear of Liverpool. And gave Liverpool heaps of confidence.

I didn't hang around for the deluded post match interview. There can be no blaming of Balotelli though. As for only having one shot on goal.
I'd get rid of him before Wednesday. Give Rafa a call, he'd walk out on Napoli at half time to get back here. Put him in charge till the end of the season with very clear targets.
There's no point continuing this farce. He can't set up a team to defend. He's in his 3rd season here and looks more clueless than he ever has.

One shot? Really? Oh dear, I didn't watch it all, but that's shocking, against such opposition.I'd get rid of him before Wednesday. Give Rafa a call, he'd walk out on Napoli at half time to get back here. Put him in charge till the end of the season with very clear targets.

Death by football remember. Keep possession and pass it sideways a lot. That is his strategy.
Their second goal started with what must have been the worst dead ball kick I've ever seen a keeper take.
Playing Johnson at left back instead of Moreno or even Enrique. Taking off our best player at the time, Lallana for Borini and bringing on Cann but keeping Gerrard on the pitch. There was not one decision the manager got right today.
The longer he's allowed to stay the further back we will go imo. Who in their right mind would allow him to have any say in the next transfer window? Bring someone in now, let them take stock and start rebuilding in January.
