As a Spurs supporter Carragher was one of my favourite players as well, hehe

A quick heads up as Sports Personality of the Year is on and may over run so Match of the Day 2 maybe a little late. Just in case you're setting the timers on you're stolen VHS video recorders.
Are you for real... If you have nothing sensible to say go away please.

Simple fact is we didn't take our chances and they did + they had a keep that didn't dive 5 minutes before the player actually shot
Raheem needs to work on his finishing - he should have had a hatrick today - De Gae did well but every shot was practically at him -
Yeah, Brad looked like he was auditioning for Swan Lake. Raheem needs to concentrate less on demanding more than the 70k he has been rumoured to have been offered and more on bulking up, staying on his feet and doing less Heskey impressions, becoming stronger and more physical and as you said, needs to work on his finishing. Having said all that, he is only 20 and it is not his fault he was chosen to lead the line.

Lose to Bournemouth and Arsenal and he is in trouble.
Agreed. What is more worrying me, is the deafening silence from FSG. Surely, they need to come out and publicly back him if they see him as the future?

What goes around comes around..... last season week in week out other fans had to put up with the Liverpool 'fans' ruining threads with top bantz like this. Annoying isn't it.

BBC article said:
Ahmet Nur Cebi, Besiktas board member, on his side's Europa League last 32 meeting with Liverpool: "The Turkish sporting community will see an entertaining match. I repeat what I always said: Liverpool should be more concerned about us than we are about them. We will knock Liverpool out of the competition. There is an account which wasn't settled in England from previous years. Yes, I mean that 8-0 defeat. We'll settle the account now. History is history and we're not living in the past, but it's an opportunity."

Wow. Who knew what a catastrophe this year would be. Such a shame.

I can't believe some people are actually suggesting we sack a semi-experienced in BR and appoint a complete noob in Carragher! This from some of the same people who were saying that BR shouldn't be allowed to learn on the job whilst with Liverpool.

Don't get me wrong, Carragher has been one of my favourite players since I started supporting LFC, but he choose not to go into a coaching role with the club. He clearly wants to be a pundit more than a coach/manager (at the moment at least anyway).
Seems you are in the minority over BWB Jammy.

Seems most Pool fans are calling for Bodge out.

Yes, but a lot are being pretty silly in what they are asking for/ blaming. People are complaining about the lack of experience, that someone shouldn't learn at Liverpool, yet are calling for someone like Carragher (no experience) or Simone (can we really even tempt him, let alone actually get him)? Then they are blaming him for not changing players who are playing badly, and yet when he does they blame him for that (changing Mignolet for example). When he put out a defensive side against Madrid lots of complains about putting out a weakened side, and yet everyone was complaining about the side which was more attacking that we had yesterday. Fair enough if you want him out because of the results, but a lot of people are contradicting themselves in what they are blaming him for/ wanting him to do.

In my opinion if we had a decent striker we would have drawn/ won yesterday. Both sides were playing like the Liverpool of last season (defensive mistakes meaning goal opportunities). The problem is we have no one to put them away like last season, and they do. I think if we got a decent striker in January/ Sturridge can play a lot of games for the rest of the season, and BR choose a more stable team to know each other then things could change pretty quickly.

Not that much has changed from the start of the season in regards to players/ problems - it's just the results have kept going (and why wouldn't they when we have no striker to fix them?). At least someone like MRT has been constant in his complaints.

He has had over 2 years to coach the defence, he failed, in fact he made it worse - therefore in my eyes he cant coach. So you get someone in to help you, he wont so in my eyes he is an arrogant buffoon.

Phil Thompson till the end of the season please. He is a dinosaur but will sort the defence in time for another manager (anyone?) to sort the attack

Just because someone posts one thing it doesn't mean it is the same poster that has contradicted/changed their mind. Unless of course you are going back through all the posts and double checking who said what.
Someone commented last week and was way off the mark with the facts and was just mashing the keyboard.
There are way more variables in peoples minds regarding this situation rather than just bandwagon jumping or hindsight.
We all are perfectly within our rights to change our views about the management and also the players.

jones was awful two years ago when drafted in iirc - to go with him and 3 at the back with an average right back in johnson as one of three central defenders was questionable at best and didn't really work.

aside from a couple of players that was the team from last year.

have to say though Gerrard was anonymous - had no effect on the game at all from where I was sat....one good game in three does not a team make...

we had the same issue with Scholes - past it but recalled and recalled and recalled...the game was passing him by same as keane. imho SG should withdraw rather than face the ignominomy of further absent performances like that, he's been great, and he has but time to seriously think about stepping aside....
