There is massive positives to be taken from our last 2 games - mainly going forward and mainly seeing the difference in our attack with a mobile striker

We create so much more when a forward is prepare to run the CB's wide , and make darting runs in behind... something we have missed all season with no LS or DS.

We still look dodgy at the back though, Jones definitely commands the defence better but isn't as good as a shot stopper.


Lovren isn't the player he was at Southampton at the moment either and Sakho still looks really dodgy at times.

I agree its not going to happen overnight.


But I did think Lovren would bring some leadership to the defence.
He seemed like a natural leader from what I had seen of him.

Sakho just seems like he doesn't really know what he is doing to me half the time ( You may see a lot more in real time though )

Good result.. I thought Coutinho and Lallana both had very good games.. Markovich looks like he is growing in confidence.. Jury still out on Sakho and Lovren though.. Add DS to the team and we may be back on target, Especially if the Petra Czech deal comes to life. COYR.

If we can get top 4 & win the league cup I think that would be a pretty reasonable season? Still in the FA cup as well, but personally I think Europa should be used for fringe players & the kids, big distraction for no reward as no way will we win it.

To be honest I'd have more faith in us fluking a Europa win and getting into the CL next year that way than achieving top four!
