Quite. Why anyone believes we're going to go through with a big money transfer, whilst we're being investigated for FFP, seems to be a little naive to me.

We didn't even spend £50m on one player in the summer when we had over £100m to spend. Now we just have £4.38 and a couple of Dunkin Donut vouchers, we've got no hope!

Robbie Savage picks apart BR's £206,500,000 spend and "does not have much to show for it". Quite a good article.

Yep, clearly been reading my assessments of Bodge's signings whilst doing his research. Now I just need Savage to do a piece on managers dress. I'm sure BWB will be right up there! smile

Where did Savage get this bit from?

But it was Rodgers who made the decision not to sign Loic Remy, who would have been perfect for them.

That article is full of holes!

For instance, Ilori - always one for the future, hence why we've loaned him out, but according to Savage this makes him a miss. Origi is the same, but because he's been loaned out and not at Anfield Savage can't rate him?!!

It's also ridiculous to be rating players who have been here for just 6 months, as Sye rightly points out. That makes up for half of TC's spend. Rate them at the end of the season.

The stupid thing is Savage would be one of these pundits on MoTD saying it would be unfair to judge a player or manager too soon and that's exactly what he's done.

Load of tosh - not 1 thing to back that up

How you think we will get on this Sunday? I think we will play well, but ultimately our defence may cost us. He needs to make sure the back 3 or 4 are covered - keeper position is worrying

Lucas has to play, Gerard advanced, lala playing through, Raheem on target and Lovren plays the game of his life after watching MNF finally telling him how to defend. (imagine him watching Carra telling him via the TV what to do)

Yep, have to keep Raheem up front
Hope to see Lazar keep his spot, showing real promise - Lucas needs Allen or Henderson next to him and as you say SG further up - Arsenal to mobile for him to be next to Lucas.
Not sure if Lovren is injured?? he went off midweek

Really? I thought it was rubbish tbh.

Lallana and Markovic = miss? I don't think so.

I suppose if you looked at them and what they have done up to now you would say miss - but I dont think either player will be a miss come end of the season.

Lallana needs a run in the team to really find his feet - dont think its helping him being in and out of the team
Markovic - we have covered -

I don't think you read it properly to be honest. Have another go.

£50m for Benzema - yes please, the perfect Christmas present

if true..
Great, if true. But really, 1. FSG don't tend to buy players like that with lower resale value further on and 2. why would Benzema want to come to Liverpool?! smile

But its a nice idea smile

Benzema for 50 mil, no thanks. Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Not what we need and certainly not at a price that seems to have been plucked out of the sky.

Been busy wrapping up work before Xmas holidays. I caught most of the game. I thought they were unlucky not to score 4 goals.

In the end I think this is Bodge's level. smile
