So I'm still drinking in Liverpool, keep seem to be missing my train back. Joe Allen, man of the match performance. Best game he's had in his life.
Season defining performance today I think...
This makes my day, not because you give Joe Allen credit (ok maybe a little) and don't forget I'm already a little boozed after watching the rugby in London (c'mon Ireland). But the fact I know how you feel, sometimes the drinks taste so. I have better, the atmosphere has changed you don't want it to end. What times my flight again Season defining performance today I think...
Pivotal game today, and I'm sure most of us would have been happy with a point, a win is a real boon. League wise, we have come through three very tough tests, as mentioned before 9 points from Spurs, Saints away & Man City is a fantastic return when we could have lost serious ground. All that with an out of form Sturridge & not many other striker options bar Marios winner against the Spuddies!
Another important couple of games coming up this week now, Burnley are no pushover despite their league position, and Blackburn will be playing out of their skin to scalp another Prem team...
How did Sturridge look when he came on? I didn't see any of the game today so looking forward to MOTD, but we could really do with him getting back into form soon!

Sturridge looked ok. He holds the ball up and links with support better than Sterling. He had one good chance to score but dragged it wide. Draw with Everton Tottenham and Southampton, lose to City and win the Burnley match
That's how I see it for you lot.
Hope I've been some help.
Made a mental note of the page number after this post! Remind me not to ask you for the lottery numbers.....That's how I see it for you lot.

Great win today. Allen and Coutinho the stand out performers, but was encouraged by Lovren's display - most solid he's looked for us I thought.

The goals will come for Sturridge GUARANTEED.. The guy is a natural goalscorer.. Remember he has been out injured for 5+ months... Once he starts scoring again he will be scoring for fun like he was last season, Of that I'm certain.
I'm just a bit worried it's going to be single striker syndrome again, when Suarez was up front on his own he struggled as there was no one taking an extra defender off him. When they played together they had so much extra space it was unreal. Let's hope we can find a good set up with him leading the line.Personally, I still think Berahino fits our style & system, be interesting if we can pick him up & let Rogers work his magic on him.
Safely home.
Proper thoughts of the game.
Mignolet, a moment where he was rooted to the line and they hit the post. Apart from that pretty spot on. He'll never command the box the way we want. No idea if he'll ever overcome his shortcomings.
Cann will be our Yaya.i have no doubt. Skrtel is better in a back 3 and Lovren is just average. For me he's the squad filler centre back.
Henderson and Allen took care of City's midfield. Moreno was at best solid but Laser was genuinely useless.
Coutinho was world class, thought his blind pass that led to their build up for their equaliser was poor. Sometimes we just need slow the game down and keep possession. That'll come the more experienced he gets.
Lallana put in a decent shift, Sterling was pushed over too easily. Sturridge just needs to relax, forget the hype and maybe try and remember it's a team game.
Henderson's goal I will remember for the rest of my days. Was stood in the corner of the main stand facing the Kop. Had given my normal tickets to a friend as a present. Watched the ball go in to the top corner in what was honestly slow motion.
Please, please let's not mess this up by dropping points to Burnley on Wednesday.
