Noticed James Agger has a nice spec 2003 S for sale with only 11,700 miles on the clock. Was wondering about the price premium he's asking for it, is it reasonable value? Also how would I know the engine has the higher spec components which earlier engines needed to be upgraded too but this one possibly hasn't covered enough miles to expose any weaknesses?

Anything else you'd need to look out for on this car/model?

Looks very nice, although personally I don't feel low mileage, non-rebuilt engine equals premium with a Tuscan. If the engine has been sorted then fair enough.

Rightly or wrongly, I would expect there to be a rebuild at some point (if not already done), so would be wanting this peace of mind when spending top money.

James sells good motors, that's 1st thing
Pricing generally seems to be a wide band. HHC has a vert Tuscan for £33k, str8six has same model for £42k. Both are highly reputable dealers and service centres.
If it's a good car, clean and straight with a bootfull of invoices,
then it's very much your call if you think the price is right.
One thing to bear in mind, they are not dropping in price.
Yours
TGS

That's how to do it. Congratulations.
As I'm sure you've already read and has applied to some of your other cars, be gentle with your right foot on these greasy damp mornings.
Tuscans don't forgive when they go.

Haha, superb! That's the way to do things, slightly more impulsive than my purchase!
Stick some pictures up when you get it, I'm sure everyone will want to see it.

Really like this pic

Many Tuscan photos you see don't tend to do the cars justice. It's almost as if you need a bit of a knack in knowing just the right angles.

I'm planning on mounting the driveway at 30mph so the momentum should get me over it (and straight through the garage door!!)

Will let you know Monday afternoon if I've made a tragic error smile
