Need Cooling system lid for TVR S2
Discussion
Hi Guys,
My TVR S2 is getting overheated during summer time in Spain and after having it all checked out it looks like I need a new expansion Cooling system lid. Not sure if this is the proper translation.
Anyone knows where can I get one?
Here are some pics of what I am looking for.
Thank you in advance!

It's a blanking cap.
It looks like the rubber seal is way past it's best.
You could try making a new sealing disc out of rubber sheet of suitable thickness.
An old car inner tube is an ideal source.
However, most good motor factors or accessory shops should be able to supply a new blanking cap for a reasonable price.

and how helpful you guys are.
Thank you very very much for your comments and links!
I think I will order a new one from Ebay just to be 100% sure I have no more issues with the overheating.
Rally appreciate the quick help!
Best regards!!

Hi Philpot,
The other one seems to be OK. I had a mechanic to do full service/check on the car, clean radiator, cooling system and fix few minor general issues, I have also changed the cooling liquid for a waterless one and the Lid seems to be the only thing that needs replacement as the rubber was completely rotten.
As soon as I get the new lid will test the car again. Although now its not that hot anymore it will give me an idea if all is OK.
Thanks a lot mate!

Have you bled the radiator since your coolant change, any air trapped in the system could have accumulated there?IF you have the pressure cap on the swirl pot then the expansion tank is open to atmosphere (little vent pipe below cap) so a "leaking" cap will make no difference (imho)
Hi phillpot, Griffinr,
I am not really sure as it is the mechanic who cleaned the cooling system, radiator ...etc. He replaced the coolant as well so I guess he did bled the system. Garage is specialist in classics cars in Spain so my guess is they did. Will confirm with them anyway later today.
Thanks for the advice!

After a refill it takes a while to get all the air out. I check mine for several days after replacing the coolant and usually find it needs several top ups before I get a steady level. Check when cooled after a run. The swirl pot should be full to the top with no air gap.I am not really sure as it is the mechanic who cleaned the cooling system, radiator ...etc. He replaced the coolant as well so I guess he did bled the system.
