I'm heading up from St neots on the Saturday for the Bears Dream rides. Happy to convoy but I aim to be there reasonably early in order to have a nose round before the masses arrive smile

I'll be there on Sunday, unlikely I'll be there in the TVR though as I am coming straight from work on Saturday evening.

why not consider letting the train take the strain, station is near NEC

Friday, although the most expensive is by far the best day to go far less crowds

I am going to the NEC on Friday, and I have a spare free ticket. If anyone from Bournemouth/Poole area would like to share petrol, please reply to this.

I'm booked in for Saturday/Sunday for Sporting Bears with the '78. Depending on how busy I am on Saturday could determine whether I also go for the Sunday. With the final F1 race and a drive back to Yorkshire it could swing things.

^^^^Good to hear that, is there a list of confirmed dream rides at all please?
I went out in the austin healey 300 last year, absolutely loved it.

Really hoping to go again this year, however MissB is full of a cold so will see how she is come the weekend.

There's nothing I can find on the Sporting Bears site as I guess the list could be quite fluid. I've not started mine up for a couple of weeks so could be making a call to Kim if it fails to come to life. I've not done a SB event for a few years but the variety of cars always amzaes me, especially when Noddy seemed to be the busiest car!!

I'm doing the Saturday and theres usually around 70 cars there ranging from Model Ts, to Moggy Minors, Bentley Blowers, Jag XFR, RR Phantom, Ferrari & Lambo, Capris, MX5s, Maserati, TVR etc. Pretyy much any type of car the visitors want will be represented.
If anyone fancies experiencing a 400 plus bhp (TVR power 4.3) TVR T350 putting out 131.2db from the pipes then look me up smile
I've had some people book rides with me year after year (my regulars) as they enjoy the experience so much...

Also to wet the appetite, you could come out for a ride with me in my 520 bhp delimited C63 - great fun, makes a nice noise too !!

Nice to see all the responses, oil catch tank brackets fabricated & fitted together with tank this afternoon, hoses on their way so all should be good for Sunday (might even get the new seats in). I'd be very interested in giving rides for Sporting Bears at future events (reasonably tidy, supercharged 450 Chimaera, 425 bhp) so if anyone can point me in the right direction for any events next year, please do.
