Wasn't looking but found a GTR at Sema today...9 Liter 4 valve engine with 2 turbos and 1350bhp on 91 pump gas and a Ricardo Ford GT box. Defiantly OTT, and the owner said its basically grip limited, No st I said...
but lovely work anyway.

That's the one built by Mercury Racing. The engine was to show case their Quad cam big blocks that they are now selling for road cars. its basically their racing engine for boats (inc Twin turbos). They also do a 1650bhp version. smile

HI guys: Went by this booth to see what was to be seen. Nice people, well meaning but it bit clueless. The car is used for a promotion tool so be it but answers like its traction limited to 135 mph shows why I say clueless. Please, nobody ever suggest that this motor should go in an Ultima the thing sets at least 5 or 6 inchs higher than an LS OR sbc. it most weigh 2 or 3 hundred pounds more than an LS. iF you are building a mid 60s muscle car like a Dodge Charger or a Chevy Impala something with an engine bay that looks like the engine room in the Titanic, Maybe, not a Ultima please.
