Looking for a bit of advice if possible. The nearside brake light isn't working. Its the same bulb as tail lights and it works fine when that's turned on. The offside bulb works both as brake light and tail light. I've replaced the bulb and cleaned up the contacts as that's about as far as my mechanical knowledge goes.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what to look at next? The MOT's due next month as well so any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance..

The holders of these are a crappy design. I went through loads of brake light bulbs. Are these the ones that have a blade on the bottom with wire wrapped onto the edge? My mechanic found that my Cherokee had a small fish tank in the bottom of one rear light & at least one knackered holder. I swapped the holder left to right & vs versa to fault find.

That's exactly the type. I've found that the fog light one at the bottom of the cluster is heavily corroded on its contacts too. Youtube has a crafty fix packing the contacts with foil to get them to sit with the bulb.

Crude but effective. Should be Jeeps motto.
