Has anyone got or knows of elsewhere, as to where I can get a carbon fibre-look mounting plate including 4 holes for switches, which also would allow a binnacle to cover it all?

Come on chaps!

You want to buy things that you can make. You are building a car so why not make some of it yourselves?

If you want a mount for the dash and switches or a surround then try to make something yourself. It may not be part of your comfort zone, but the feeling of actually creating something yourself that it part of the car is well worth the effort.

Materials are relatively cheap and the info is available on the web. The first attempt may not be as you want, so try again.

Sorry to be a bit negative but, trust me, it will be worth it.

Create a cardboard replica of what you need. Take it to a local Ali fabricator and then wrap it with carbon look. Achievable for less than £100. Alternatively knock something up with google sketchup and have it 3d printed for even less.

Carbon sheet would be better as long as it's easy to form the binnacle.

Hi Dom
Yes it's the binnacle that I need as well. Did you reconfigure the centre factory supplied one when you moved your dials?
