What tools came with early M cars? Was the jack the same as TR6? Where were they stored?

A 'tube' scissor jack and handle with a solid brace (I will get some pictures sorted). There is no space for the jack as such until '77 version of the carpet set that then has a pocket in the passenger foot well to stow it, as such the heater motor fills half of foot well until then. That said it a low version can be added (as I always do) and you can fit the jack in.

Pictures would be great. Is it the same jack as TR6? If there was no space for the jack, where did it go??? Surely when delivered it wasn't just thrown in the floorboard? I'm one of those crazy people who expends more effort than necessary trying to undo the 'improvements' done to my car by former owners.

TR6, not that I know of, the 'tube' scissor jack was exactly for that, cupping the one and half inch outrigger tube...I find them pretty much anywhere, and I always sell my carpet sets with that additional trimmed and fitted 'pocket'. IF you look at lots of M series you can see where the jack handle just sits (even had 'sat', as the carpet is marked!!) tucked into the pocket.

3428TM was begun in '74 (I believe), and sold as a '75. It had the passenger side pocket, from new. Adrian, wasn't there also a wheel nut wrench included, with the earlier cars? Mine had one. Jack, handle, and wrench were bright blue, and had some Union Jack stickers on them.

Best,
B.

This is one version of the set ...the wheel brace/ wrench differs in that they are blue and have a second aperture for the nut at the long end, the second picture is the handle and jack hidden in the pocket.

Thanks, that makes more sense, and explains some odd things w/ my carpet. You can tell some bits have been replaced with cheaper carpeting so a previous owner pulled out the pockets for some reason.
