A trouble-free #FP2 ends with @kamui_kobayashi P18 (38 laps, 1:45.505) & @WillStevens_ P19 (34 laps, 1:47.057) #AbuDhabiGP
Is it possible Woof could have pedalled round quicker than Stevens?
To be fair, I didn't watch it live, he may have had some technical issues.
It is possible and I would have been quicker for sure A trouble-free #FP2 ends with @kamui_kobayashi P18 (38 laps, 1:45.505) & @WillStevens_ P19 (34 laps, 1:47.057) #AbuDhabiGP

"If we kept the V6s, we could go twin turbo, which would address the noise issue. Perhaps a standard KERS and some standard components and then we could have an engine that was more affordable for all the teams. That is our idea, but I'm sure one of our competitors won't agree"
Dig at Mercedes there? Interesting thought though, if unlikely to happen.afrochicken said:
Horner wasn't suggesting bringing the V8s back, at least not in the above quote. "If we kept the V6s". He is suggesting that making the existing V6s twin turbos with a more standardised KERS etc would help to make them more affordable, and that being twin turbo would make them sound better than at present
Twin turbo would also prevent the "splitting of the V" Merc design, as if you run a charger on each bank you can't have them both running shafts through the middle, effectively destroying merc's idea.Jasandjules said:

Has everyone seen the new McL front wing?
Can't think where the inspiration for that came from...
SKY F1 basically said it was a carbon copy of the Red Bull bit with the new flows..Can't think where the inspiration for that came from...

Well it definitely looks very similar! I laughed earlier when James Allen hinted that Peter Prodromou had turned up at McLaren with a Red Bull front wing and a can of silver paint!afrochicken said:

Honda wouldn't agree to bringing the V8s back either.
