This has to be one of the best drivers roads in the county....highly recommended, especially on a clear day going east to west when the views can be cracking

Add the Bardney - Baumber road, B1202 Bardney to Rasen, B1190, A153 Sleaford to Tattershall. Bluestone Heath Road for a return route parallel with the 1225. So many good hooning roads!

I did the loop described above earlier in the year. I actually preferred the western and southern sections, the B1434 from Kettleby down to Market Rasen, the B1202 down through Wragby and onto Bardney and especially the B1190 heading east through Horsington towards Horncastle.

Good find and made a refreshing change from Yorkshire for me!

This is a fantastic road just drove from North heading South towards Horncastle one of the best roads I haven driven in England! For a B road it's surprisingly wide lots of nice flowing bends with good view ahead, hardly any traffic and a joy to drive on.

One of my favourite routes is from home in North Yorkshire to Cadwell. Early start in the Caterham and down to York , then south via Elvington , Bubwith and then across Thorne waste and Epworth , and then east to Barnetby, Caistor and Cadwell. Deserted roads at the time I travel and wonderful views from the edge of the Wolds. I used to live in Lincolnshire and am prone to shout at people who think it is uniformly flat- it isn't . But the fen roads can be fun as well- a favourite run would be down from Bourne .

My sister lives just south of the level crossing near Melton Ross. Heading north on the A15 I take either the B1191 or B1202 to the B1188, then Station Road to Potterhanworth, B1202/B1190 to Bardney, unclassified to Baumber, across the A158 to the B1225 all the way to Caistor. From there the A1084 to Bigby and then the back lanes. The best bit is the middle section from Bardney to Caistor. Fast, flowing, and usually devoid of traffic.

I go back the same way. Win, win! thumbup
