As the title says, i'm looking for an imperial roll cage for a series 3 caterham. If anyone has one laying around and want to sell it.

Any condition as I can get it powder coated.

Thanks
Edward.

I've got a curved bar cage that I'm not using.

I had it powdercoated, put it on for a few months and then took it off.

PM me if you like.

Yes I have one Recently powder coated (black) S3 imperial chassis single diagonal type roll cage. It has had the dash plates removed so may not be race legal but a much neater installation for road use, the powder coating is good but it has one small dent on the driver’s side rear hoop which can just be seen in image 1 where the cross bar meets the hoop. Comes complete with the shallow rear bolts, an assortment of head restraint ‘bits/brackets’, a L7C sticker and padding. £200 cash please, will need collecting or I may be able to deliver/meet up within a reasonable distance of GU15 or West London. ETA this cage can be used with a windscreen fitted - I will try and upload an image when I get home tonight.

p.s. It does not come with the SIPB

Hi, thanks for the responses.

Can they not all be used with a windscreen?

Is the curved one an imperial fit?

I really fancy the 'square' cage but im not against a curved one..!

If you nfancy a square one, fill your boots, they are much cheaper than the curved bar ones whihc most folks seem to want.

Hi Guy,

Will I be able to have a screen fitted with this cage?

Yes I used a screen at times, the hood will also fit but I never felt the need to go that far driving

Hello,
If you are still looking for a full roll cage, then I have one for an imperial chassis that is the same as the one fitted to the yellow car pictured above.
It is in good condition but sitting in the workshop gathering dust and getting in my way so £150 and it is yours.
No worries either way.

Did not mean to offend and am not sure how exactly I have ? The original poster placed his requirements in the public domain and I have simply answered his request just as you did yourself.

Metric cages fit Imperial chassis. I've done it here: You need a Roadsports cage if you want to retain the screen. Thesee are plentiful. The curved bar one is tough to get in the car if you like the pies and side entry knackers the paint of the cockpit curved sides. The diagnol one looks pants. Its a matter of choice.

Hello, would one of these two roll bars fit on a 1996 S3 1700SS with a live axle ? If yes, I'd be interested in buying one. Thanks.

Hi guys

Just a question to clear things a little for me. How much room is under these cages. Are they higher in the rear and above the seats than the FIA roll over bar? Did any of you measure this??

Thanks, Morten

AFAIK de Dion cages won't fit a live axle and live axle cages have tended to be like rocking horse poo.

A standard cage is the same height at the rear as an FIA bar. The tall bar and cage is 40mm higher at the rear.

max24r I received your email & I have spoken to Paul by telephone, unfortunately as Aeroscreens correctly says a De Dion cage will not fit a live axle car.

Sorry to interrupt again. But a std FIA roll bar is also higher than the std roll bar, right? So - I can get a cage that is even higher than the FIA roll bar, like the one Caterham sell for my Imperial S3, if I understand you correctly? If so - which cage should I look for, if I wan't the tall one??

Thanks again for any help,

From a newbie in Denmark
