planning that special cruise (any agents out there ??) or ?

having done many with po rci etc etc im trying to put together the following if any one has done simular some pointers would be good, ok march ish next year would like to go to caribbean and cruise with a 6 star eg seabourne ... means flying out from uk im trying to have a week of pure luxury with 6 star then hop on a transatlantic cruise back to southampton to cut down on flights, (not over keen on long flights) means some fine tuning with ports times etc assuning the idea is poss to arrange

Seabourn is a very different experience to what you have done so far (in a good way). You want to go on either Sojourn or Odyssey. They are the larger ships in the fleet. The smaller ships are older as well as smaller and whilst true Seabourn fans love them you might struggle a bit. A step too far in terms of difference from what you're used to.
The service is spectacular and it really is all inclusive once you get on board in terms of drinks and so on. There is no rushing around or queuing up, no need to reserve a sun bed by the pool. If you've forgotten your sun cream no need to walk back to the cabin, just ask one of the bar staff who will fetch you a basket of products to choose from.
Food is delightful to the point where even the buffet dining option is a joy. It still seems a bit weird being able to ask for champagne and caviar whilst chilling out by the pool or in the hot tub and not getting hit for a charge on your account.
The demographic on board is much older than you will have experienced but don't let that put you off. It isn't all bingo and shuffling around to Vera Lynn. The entertainment punches well above it's weight. You won't get the big West End productions but there will be something on offer each night.

Agree with Henry's comments. Mrs BC & I have sailed with Seabourn several times and it really is a 6 star experience.
Henry why do you say 'You want to go on either Sojourn or Odyssey', whats wrong with the Quest? We sailed on the Quest twice this year and it was fantastic both times. The older / smaller ships have a very loyal following but we prefer the newer ships which still only take around 440 passengers so still small by modern standards.

Because Quest tends to do Antartica, Amazon and northern Europe rather than the OP's preferred Caribbean.
I know it also has a few Mediterranean options available. But in the main I see it as the most luxurious way to see the Antarctic regions on the planet

We were on the Quest from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona and again from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale this year. Fantastic both times. Look forward to seeing you on the Sojourn. I just found out that Jamie Fletcher is the singer / pianist in the Observation bar for this trip. She is fantastic so if you find your way to that bar - I'm buying the drinks!
I have cruised twice with Regnent Seven Seas, they are also a 6 star cruise line, and you'll find many switch between Regent and Seabource and Silver Sea.
Cruise agent wise, we have always used Go Cruise (gocruise.co.uk), its run by Mark Hover, who has always come up with the most competitive prices for us.

it looks like we will be 6 staring around the med next year 7 days yet to book as still looking, it will happen. just got to get over comparing what 6/7 k will get us with the usual cruise lines!!
I know we are paying for that special service and pampering... one just has to try doesnt one ...

When comparing the likes of Seabourn and Silversea with the usual lines you need to bear in mind that extras such as drinks are included with the 6 star ships. The other lines know how to charge for these extras and tips etc. I know we are paying for that special service and pampering... one just has to try doesnt one ...
