I'd also be interested to know the answer to this.

pretty sure he flew mclaren over and they just did it in his garage for the cameras
Yes, that is my understanding too - that there is a McLaren employee out of shot who performed the work

So the new exhaust does have boxes that act as crush cans in the event of an accident - although they are smaller than the original item. It's a flows a little more freely so should give some additional power, although McLaren don't quote a figure for this.

Some more pics

All the release and clutch fork bearings have been replaced

I've seen a few gtr's on track in the early 2000's, they annihilated everything there

wonder how competitive they'd be against current supercars

This one puts the F1 against all the others.

Great pics.......thanks for posting.

What's the clutch life like on an F1?....... I read sonewhere that Rowan A had had about 4 in his F1 in 30 odd k miles. Fact or fiction?

Transverse gearbox design also looks interesting......

It seems that you have accidentally driven in to a hospital rather than a garage....
Joking aside, lovely photos.

I think clutch life varies dramatically depending on how the car is driven - I heard of single clutches lasting 20-30k miles. Sadly mine only lasted 3k but that was largely under the previous ownership.

They can be fried pretty easily...

I assume you are going to use her as intended, rather than hiding her away as an investment?

There are many many photos here of TT9's cars being used as intended including this splendid recent one (September 15)

You can still use an "investment" as it was intended. I hope this picture helps to illustrate that.
