Dog not settling on holiday
Discussion
This is louis 3rd holiday this year, he is only 1, previously he would find his spot and be ok, this time he is just walking around crying and starring at the walls like there is something there. He does this at home, but usually it's a phone reflecting onto a wall or something.
Any ideas how to calm the poor bugger down? We're worried he won't settle for sleep tonight.
He's got his bed and a blanket, but he's not intrested, even to come up on the sofa (not that he is allows in this rental cottage!)

Hi,
This is probably too late now as you've probably got him settled but my advice for the future would be to make him a nice snuggly bed as you have been doing. Then put one of your worn tshirts or whatever you've had on that day, the smell of you in him bed should make him settle. Always works for me. Also when I go away I make sure to take blankets from home that aren't washed so they still smell like home to the dogs.
Just as an after though, there might be something disturbing him in the room, like and wifi box or a electric socket or a fridge that is making a strange noise to him that you can't hear. Just a thought, I always find my dogs settle (and so do I) less well when there's gadgets all over the place and wifi on. That's probably my tin hat side coming out though!
