First day of ownership
Discussion
Hello everyone, you may have seen me in a thread asking your thoughts on three yellow Chimaeras but I took the plunge and bought this absolute beauty from James Agger:
I have wanted a TVR since I first saw a Griff rumbling past me on my way to school but this if the first time I have been in a position to have a "second" car. I was worried that it would be hard to live up to 20 years' worth of expectation but it is immense. I never thought a twilight, roadwork strewn, foggy hour down the M1 would turn into one of my favourite road trips ever.
Must be showing my age here but I can't get over how comfortable it is both in terms of cabin quality and ride comfort. Just sorting out some TVRCC password issues before I look up my first meet.
Just like to say a public thank you to James Agger for all his help, enthusiasm and expertise. He was a massive reason why I plumped for this particular car and it's a bonus that it seems to be an absolute minter too!

Congratulations YellowPeril
Had mine 16 months and covered just short of 10,000 miles in that time, heading to my club meet today i went for a roof off blast 50 miles drive before the meet. Cold misty damp and it was still bloody fantastic
After the meeting went the long way home doing an extra 40 miles
Welcome and enjoy (Looks lovely by the way)

Congrats on the purchase. I was in a similar position to you. I always knew TVR was a brand / car I had to own at least once and would just stand and stare openly with envy every time I saw one cruise past (usually driven by a smug looking bd with a huge grin on his face!) Picked mine up just over 5 years ago now. I still climb in to the car with an almost childish intrepidation. Those seats don't look much, but they are very comfy and gentle on the back even on long road trips (300+ miles a day no problem).
Just watch the back end on wet bends and white lines whilst you are getting used to her this winter.
