I had mine from cks and as previously mentioned was of very poor quality, and needed cutting and welding.

I think the general consensus now is miltek.

Just be careful whoever does it has the tips fitting flush as they should be not sticking out too much.

You would be better getting one fabricated. Best I have seen is Imrran's work at MSL Performance a pure artist when it comes to bending and welding pipe.
If you are getting the car mapped at DMS do they not fabricate exhausts? Or could recommend a installer

Like previous comment keep away from CKS they have a horrendous reputation on the MBClub UK forum with some horror stories to match.

Agree with Lee above regarding MSL.

Imran removed my rear resonator and fitted it with a balance pipe. The quality is spot on and the guy spends an age just setting up and tweaking to make sure everything is perfectly in line before welding it all into place.

Can anyone advise on the cost of the resonator removal?

Cks was about 350 then I had to pay a local Indy to cut n shut ....
Dms don't normally do exhausts
Sounds like a great deal, and also great product
Looking on msl website they use torque flow for their fabrication

£250 sounds resonable, I'm in Derby. Anyone got any local suggestions? I feel this mod is a must, Xmas presents can wait!

Torque Flow are in the same building as MSL so everything is arranged for the same day.

The only difference is the ramps used. smile

A recommendation here for InfinityExhausts in Bristol, they did my SLK 55 resonator removal and X pipe. The work was great quality and all in about £300. Word of warning though, don't go for an X pipe if you are also looking to put on upgraded exhaust headers. I did this and as te primary cats were removed the car became insanely loud ( but not in a good way)

I drove down from west london on the recommendation of as couple of PH'ers and was not disappointed

Tbh I ndt want it to be stupidly loud. It' sound great the now but wouldn't mind just that little bit louder

The X pipe was perfect. What is great is for normal round town driving it doesn't sound much different ..only when you put your foot down does it become apparent..also on a long journey at 70-80 their is no extra droning our noise intrusion

the problem I had was when I upgraded the exhaust headers which necessitated the primary cat removal as well.. This is when it got too loud

if you are just doing secondary and resonator delete this won't be a problem.

I would recommend it.. The best £300 I spent on the car and I guarantee you won't regret it. Just check out youtube to get an idea

good luck
