I've just bought what must be the cheapest and possibly worse on the road Eunos for sale in the uk!
Was on ebay looking at Estates and ended up with this tired technicolour number.

I'm after insuring it as cheaply as possible as a third car for the winter, any tips and ideas on price?

I've had £750 on a comparison site and a huge £1500 from Lancaster so far and that's for 4000 miles!

Adding my girlfriend and my mum got some nice quotes from Diamond on CompareTheMarket which weren't appearing before. Also get £300 cover for my handbags! (?)

How old are you? You should be able to get it cheaper than that. Try the usual suspects, A-Plan, Adrian Flux, Greenlight,Sky Insurance...

I'm 34, thought it was very pricey.

I've had no claims or points but my ncb is on another car.

Mine is insured with Footman James on a classic policy, 5k miles per year and the premium is £88.44 for the year. No NCB required.

That's just me, safe postcode, garaged, 41 years old.

Have you asked your insurer for the car with the ncb for a quote? When I bought my second car I got a good deal, in effect they gave me a couple of years ncb, which I've carried on since.

Same. I am 31 and it is similar price, i.e. 80 something

Good to know - I suspected age didn't have much to do with it. I insured a 1991 BMW 535i Sport for a similar price while I was still in my 30s. Once you discover how cheap insurance can be, it skews what you think is reasonable.
