Hi,

I have had my 325 for just over 2 months now, it is a 2009.

Recently when the engine is warm, it will make a high pitched noise when accelerating, it will stop when I take my foot off the gas and let it roll for a bit, but as soon as i just touch the gas it will make it again.

I have sprayed WD40 on the fan belt, but it did not make any difference.

Has anyone else had a similar problem, or can offer any advice?

I have taken a video of the noise, it can be heard from the following link:

any help would be appreicated
thank you

Maybe it's just me, but I don't hear anything strange? Certainly nothing high pitched/squealing?

Just keep spraying WD40 on random engine parts until it stops.

I don't know what you think you're hearing but the engine sounds perfectly normal when revved. There's a slight chatter/roughness at idle which could be all sorts of things. Clutch release bearing, a belt tensioner, exhaust noise. Hard to tell.

The car is with the mechanical to take a look at this now, he noticed it at 1100 RPM and a car was vibrating when it was at this point.

to clarify, i sprayed WD40 on the pulley not direct to the belt!

To top it all off, I had a puncture on the motorway today, I went to get a new tyre and they notice a crack in the rim (rear drivers side)... it's been an expensive day!
