Does anyone know where there maybe a pair of white Cibie covers for my TVR Wedge, or does anyone have a good pair they want to sell. I have always had these on every Wedge I've owned as I think they look good and protect the lens. I have been searching everywhere and had no luck. Up until recently I never had any problem finding a pair of these as other cars like the old Jaguar XJ6 used to have them as standard. I have looked at Jaguar sites, Auction sites etc. with no luck. If anyone knows of any for sale or want to sell a pair of used ones at a fair price please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Tony, got some black with white writing like these? I prefer them off so I can flash the driving lamps. Any good?

Hi Keith. My car is bright red and black covers with white writing I think would look good. I've only had the white ones up until now, but if you are sure you want to sell them, pm me the details (cost, postage etc.) and we'll take it from there. Thanks for the offer.

Tony I'll dig them out of the box tonight to check condition. If okay they're yours for beer tokens at BBWF. Cheers.

They are indeed very bright. I went out in the Wedge Sunday night for a run around the local lanes in the dark, roof down, and the headlights on mine are brilliant - they are just as good as my 18 month old BMW.

Not a clue what bulbs are in the pods but they do have a slight blueness to them? Suppose I should have a look some day!

Tony, tracked them down and they are almost perfect. Writing is in silver not white as photo.

The covers have rounded corners and the internal dimensions are 6" long by 3.5" wide. Are these the correct size for yours as I'm unsure whether they are all the same size?

Cheers.

Hi Keith. Yes, they look like the right size. I have just had a measure up. The larger ones are a lot larger, so these must be the right ones as they are Cibie. Black and silver look good. Black compliments my bright red paintwork and as the car will need coach lines, I may do them in black also to match the light covers and the badges and graphics. If you are sure you won't need them, I would be very grateful to have them. Thanks again.

When you said 'say no to pinstripe' you made me think. A few others sugested the same thing, but if you look down the side of the Wedge there is a raised stripe in the bodywork running all the way down the side. So, all you are doing is highligting the body shape and as it was meant to be there from new, I've decided to go for it. I think black stripes will complement the bright red paint together with all the other black fittings such as light covers and decals. I know it's a matter of preference but I think in my case it's worth doing.

Lots of cars have raised body work....

...doesn't mean you have to stick a stripe down it wink

That is a sign of a well organised home mechanic. I keep my emergency tools for when I need to go out for repairs, in my wife's hand bag. It's much more handy and practical to just pickup and go than a tool box.

Looks very similar to handbag I use! 50p from charity shop. Bargain and doesn't scratch the boot interior.

I also have one white cover which came with the boxed set of Cibies I bought. So pair that with Adam's and problem sorted :-)
